The junction we use depends on where you live. Junction 37 and the A628 lead into the town centre and the Glass Works, out to Dodworth, about 20 miles from the depot, and on to Darton, about 23. Junction 36 and the Dearne Valley Parkway serve Hoyland and Elsecar, which are closer at about 17 miles.
Penistone and the Pennine villages are reached a different way, off junction 35A and along the A616, about 23 miles in all. Ardsley and Stairfoot to the east of the town, and Royston to the north, complete the parts of the borough we cover.

You need one if the van has to stand in a residents’ parking zone. Barnsley Council asks residents to apply to its Parking Services to have the zone or bay suspended, so the space is free on the day. If you hold a paper permit, the council expects it back when you move, and an e-permit has to be cancelled. You can check the zones on the council’s residents’ parking permits page.
Usually yes, and where a lorry cannot get close we plan around it. On newer estates, parking courts and shared drives can mean a longer carry from the van to your door. We allow time and crew for that in the quote, or send a smaller van if it parks closer.
